Beatles Philharmonic Tribute

Beatles_Philharmonic_Orchestra_TributeThe President of Malta, Dr George Abela, and his wife attended the Beatles Philharmonic Tribute 50th Anniversary Concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 28 October. Under the direction of Maltese conductor Alan Chircop, the world renowned Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performed classical interpretations of Beatles’ songs according to dramatic orchestral arrangements by Maltese composer Wayne Grima. Performers were joined by guest stars including the legendary Dame Shirley Bassey, Tony Christie, Darius Campbell and Beverly Knight. High Commissioner of Malta Mr Joseph Zammit Tabona and his wife, Susan, also attended the event, held in support of, various worthy charities including the Malta Community Chest Fund.
