INSPIRATION SERVED BY CORPORATE SERVICE AT HARRODS

Diplomat HQ received an exciting delivery from Corporate Service at Harrods

With gift-giving about to reach its annual peak through the holidays and beyond, we find ourselves wracking our brains: what should we buy the person who has everything? What should you choose for colleagues; something thoughtful, but not too personal? Or what can you buy a loved one whose likes, dislikes or allergies you are all too familiar with? There’s no doubt that food and drink are universally adored, but crucially they are also needed at this time of year when families and friends typically gather.  And while posted in the UK, why not source the best of British? Harrods is the London department store that’s always been synonymous with excellence, and their Corporate Service department has been creating hampers and gifts for decades to suit all tastes, needs and nationalities.

The Corporate Service team believe that when it comes to the season of eating and drinking everyone has their weakness. Whether its chocolate truffles or fine wine, Harrods have specialists on hand to offer guidance and source the products you are looking for.

When it comes to their hampers, Harrods source the best food from the world’s finest producers. Indeed, Christmas came early at DiplomatHQ this year, when we received a St James’s Hamper. Removing the traditional wicker picnic basket from its box, there was huge excitement from our young employees, Walter (aged 5) and Ivo (aged 2).

Beautifully packed, The St James’s hamper contains all Harrods’s own produce. Like a lucky dip, the boys continued to pull different treats from the box, all packaged in red, gold and white candy stripes. The top layer revealed fudge; mince pies, a tray of chocolates and salted caramel and pecan milk chocolate biscuit thins. Next: a Harrods Christmas cake infused with Courvoiser VSOP cognac, a large tin of biscuits, orange and dark chocolate Florentines and spiced black tea, and the third layer: a Christmas pudding amongst Boxing Day Chutney; sweet orange and pink gin marmalade; plum jam; mustard with Ling heather honey, brandy butter and cranberry sauce with port. With spiced tea, after dinner coffee and hot chocolate among other treats, the children were digging around for hours.

The focus of the St James’s hamper is on British food served at Christmas, but the Celebration of Chocolate, for example, is ideal for those with a sweet tooth. The Montpelier focuses on wine, charcuterie, cheese and biscuits. The Supreme includes a stunning number of items carefully sourced from around the world from champagne, wine and whiskey to organic Zambian tree honey.

A Harrods Hamper is the ideal gift to share with family, friends and colleagues. Moreover, the Corporate Service team are happy to tailor make hampers and gifts for all budgets.  For a truly unique gift, the team will create bespoke hampers with products hand-picked directly from the famed Food Halls and Wine Rooms. With six bespoke hamper sizes to choose from, each can  be customised with monogrammed stamped tag rendered in copper foil.

Corporate Service at Harrods will arrange complimentary delivery of hampers over ÂŁ130 ordered by 23 November 2018, delivered to one UK address.
